Fe al P was an intervention project for the Festival Internacional de las Artes (International Arts Festival). The festival was held at the old railroad facilities, where several artists were given the chance to work on an abandoned wagon. Mine was called “El vagón rojo” (Red Wagon) and it consisted of painting the wagon red, and hanging up a series of ‘flags’ from the wagon, the flags were portraits: one was a self-portrait and the other was the portrait of a Chinese man who came to build the railroad. The railroad system that crosses Latin America was built by Chinese, African and Italian workers, which was the main reason for immigration of these populations.
